Rachel Cutting, MBE, is Principal Embryologist / Quality Manager at Jessop Fertility, Sheffield teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
Rachel graduated from the University of Nottingham in 1995 and completed the ACE post graduate diploma in 1998. In 2001 she gained the position of Principal Embryologist at Jessop Fertility and holds the position of Person Responsible. Rachel was chair of the Association of Clinical Embryologist from 2011-2014, is an assessor for the ACS and NSHCS and was instrumental in writing the curriculum for the Reproductive Science Scientific Training Programme. She is involved in writing the national curriculum for training embryologists and has written national guidelines for oocyte freezing and elective single embryo transfer. Rachel has an active role in professional societies having been part of many committees and working groups. She has worked on secondment for the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority. Rachel presents regularly at international conferences and workshops. She was awarded an MBE in 2015 for services to infertility.
